Quale's team is led by two associate directors.

Philippe Humeau
A graduate of the Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po), Philippe started his career as a cost controller and financial director in the private sector. He then worked as a country director in the humanitarian aid and development sector. Philippe has received academic training in the area of managing diversity and mediation, and has a wide knowledge of different cultures and religions. He is recognized for his acumen in supporting consultation and strategic development processes in complex and sometimes sensitive subjects. He has expertise in taking into account societal and religious issues in public policies, as well as deep knowledge in the areas of education, the transmission of values and knowledge, training, and the contextualization of global issues within particular cultures.
Since the mid-1990s, Philippe has divided his time between Africa and Europe.




Gilles Marion
A graduate of the ICN Business School, Gilles has many years of experience in the humanitarian sector. He has worked in many countries around the world to develop supply chains in the health sector. As a director of operations, he has headed the logistics departments of both private sector companies (such as UPS and Vivendi Universal) and international NGOs (e.g. Oxfam). He was the Country Director for Oxfam in Mali and in Mauritania. Gilles brings to bear this rich experience to tackle the root causes of social, political, cultural and economic problems. He has a particular interest in ensuring quality education and health services.

In 2012 Gilles founded Quale to bring together different perspectives to solve socio-cultural issues, through providing consulting, training and research services. Within Quale, he develops strategies and forward-looking approaches to help his clients to advance and thrive in the face of uncertainty.
